Play the Moment was established by Victoria Gibson in Vancouver, Canada, during the year 2000, to play improvised music that included instruments from many world cultures.
The first performance was at CityFest, held at King Edward Campus of Vancouver Community College. Later that year, the ensemble played at The Western Front Lodge in the second floor music hall.
During the next twenty years there were occasional performances, such as one at the Main Street Hall, all in Vancouver. As the Archives emerge, there will be news posts of past events.
The most impressive performance was at the Center for Performance Research in Brooklyn, NY. in 2011.
The 2022 BOXSET show, held at the Woodwards Atrium in Vancouver, included a movement artist and a 12 foot rear projection screen.
This website is being created in 2026, as Victoria Gibson is initiating new performances. Some time there might be a recording or video to share.
