A Complete set of Javanese Gamelan “Kyahi Salju Mas” (or The Venerable Sir of Golden Snow) for sale
Sutrisno Hartana’s complete set of Javanese gamelan instruments now for sale
Central Javanese tuning with both slendro and pelog instruments
The gamelan was made by the late Pak Tentrem Sarwanto of Solo
A short history:
The gamelan was made by the late Pak Tentrem Sarwanto of Solo, a well known gamelan maker from Central Java, Indonesia. The gamelan is in an excellent condition and best quality (Central Javanese tuning with teak-wood carving. For your reference, I include some photos of it above). It is stored in my parent’s house in the city of Yogyakarta, Java, Indonesia. I bought the gamelan not at the same time but one by one for more than 15 years (the first ordered was in 1993 and completed in 2009). Beginning with one instrument gender barung in slendro tuning (a metallophone with fourteen keys suspended by cord over tube resonators) and completed with the gong family.
If you or your colleagues are interested in buying my complete set of Central Javanese gamelan, or to invite me for gamelan/wayang (puppets) performance/workshop, please let me know.
Thank you very much for your attention and I look forward to hearing from you.
Sincerely,
Sutrisno Hartana
